We Help Our Community's Students Succeed Through Scholarships

Our goal is to give Madelia High School seniors scholarships to help them afford higher education. We encourage individuals and businesses to sponsor scholarships and to donate money to our trust fund, from which we use the interest for scholarships. People donate money to our trust fund as memorials and retirement gifts to honor relatives and friends and some make Madelia Dollars for Scholars® the beneficiary of estates. If you wish to make a donation, call Meghan Ward at 507-642-3232.

Madelia Dollars for Scholars members thank everyone who made donations and helped us accomplish our goals. With your contributions we were able to give members of the class of 2025 scholarships totaling approximately $14,000.

The scholarships described on this website are an attempt by local educators, organizations, businesses and concerned individuals to recognize and reward academic excellence and other outstanding achievements of graduating Madelia High School students. These scholarships are also awarded in an attempt to encourage seniors to continue on to post-secondary education and retain a commitment to be life-long learners.

Students interested in applying for the scholarship awards should carefully note the criteria for each award. Seniors may apply for as many scholarships as they are eligible for. Only one application needs to be completed, unless the criteria call for a separate application.

Dollars for Scholars chapters like ours help hometown students achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, providing assistance with college readiness and the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships each year.

This website provides resources from our chapter to our volunteers, community and students. You can learn more about our history, goals and volunteers through the "About Us" link, and find out what's new by clicking on "News and Events."
